Why do you need inspections?

How are inspections carried out?
Our team uses different methods depending on the scope of the inspection. Inspections can be carried out from ladders and platforms, using rope access, cranes or aerial lifts, and in some cases from ground level. The method depends on the parts being inspected and the level of detail required.
What do inspections involve?
We check the steel chimney's load-bearing structure, welds, bolts and foundation, the parts in contact with flue gas, as well as the liner, insulation, surface and accessories such as platforms and ladders. Inspections are carried out in line with EN 13084-1 and EN 13084-9.
Do customers receive a report?
Yes. After each inspection or chimney survey, you receive a detailed report with findings and photos. If repairs are needed, we typically include a quote for the work, so you have everything you need to make a decision.
How often should a steel chimney be inspected?
In line with EN 13084-1 and EN 13084-9, we recommend:
- a visual inspection every 6 months to ensure basic operational safety
- a thorough inspection at least every 2 years, including a full structural assessment
